Aimey Steadman, Justin Fenchel, and Brad Schulz show up in episode 604 of Shark Tank to request money for their business, BeatBox Beverages, which offers soft beverages in a box.

The team met as students at a business school in Austin, TX, with two co-founders. Justin founded beatBox Beverages to offer a unique beverage to parties and events. 

He decided to make packaged mixed drinks rather than bring 30-packs of beer or wine to a meeting.

BeatBox Beverages are produced with orange wine and are available in four flavors: blue raspberry lemonade, cranberry limeade, box a’rita, and texas tea. 

The drink has a proof of 22 and an alcohol content of 11.1 percent by volume; it’s also low in calories, around 40 calories per serving. 

BeatBox beverages come in packages of five liters or approximately 30 five-ounce servings. You get a lot for your money at the price of $19.99 per box!

The company attempted an IndieGoGo campaign, which was established in 2012 but failed in early 2013. Approximately $6000 was raised out of a target of $10,000. 

IndieGoGo is different from Kickstarter, which holds back funds until the fundraising goal is met or exceeded, allowing entrepreneurs to keep all monies raised regardless of whether or not the goal is met.

BeatBox Beverages is currently only available in the state of Texas. According to their website, they plan to begin selling online nationally “soon.” 

It can be time-consuming and cumbersome to obtain licenses for alcohol in each state, which creates a barrier to alcohol sales. They might be looking for a Shark to assist with nationwide distribution.

Who Is The Founder Of BeatBox Beverages?

Brad Schultz, Justin Fenchel, and Aimy Steadman formed BeatBox Beverages in 2012. The project ran a short IndieGogo campaign in 2013 but could not reach its financial goal.

During the last quarter of 2014, the business generated $245K in revenue, of which more than half was derived from the current quarter. As of the beginning of the quarter, the business had a cash position of $55K and a debt balance of $100K.

Mark believes it should expand more rapidly as it is not considered wine. He believes he is best qualified to build it rapidly and offers $600,000 for a 33 percent stake.

What Happened To BeatBox Beverages After Shark Tank?

BeatBox has used Mark Cuban’s funding to expand its distribution since its appearance on Shark Tank. 

The beverage is available in Kroger and Ralph’s grocery stores throughout the United States, and the company plans to introduce a single-serve boxed beverage.

BeatBox MixTapes are 500ml resealable bottles that come in two flavors: Fruit Punch and Blue Razzberry. It retails for less than $3.50.
