Sanaia Applesauce is gourmet applesauce for adults. Sanaia Applesauce proprietor Keisha Jeremie explains that all other apple sauces in grocery stores tend to target children.

Keisha Jereme is the founder of Sanaia Applesauce. Keisha Jeremie works at her day job when she is not building her applesauce empire. After his stint on Shark Tank, Jeremie accepted the position of Chief People Officer at Tory Burch in August 2018.
She served as Chief Human Resources Officer at News Corp. for five years and as Managing Director and Global Co-Head of Talent Management at Morgan Stanley.

Sanaia Applesauce Before Shark Tank
Keisha Jeremie learned to appreciate fruits and spices from the island’s unique flora and fauna as a child on a Bahamas island. While Keisha grew up in a pleasant area, she chose to attend college at the University of Virginia.
When the East Coast suffered from severe winters, she began making homemade applesauce.
Keisha has modified her applesauce recipe over the years to include fruits from the varieties of guava and tamarind trees she remembers as a small island girl.
Applesauce was transformed into the Bahamas by adding guava. The summer wind made her feel as if she were at home, sitting beneath a fruit tree, carefree.
Sanaia Applesauce was intended to transport people to their paradises by combining exotic flavors with green apples.
Keisha began Sanaia Applesauce with a personal investment of $500,000. She was financially dependent on her parents and siblings and unable to leave her full-time job as a human resources executive to devote her whole resources to her new company.
She auditioned for Shark Tank in the hopes of obtaining the finance and support necessary to make Sanaia Applesauce a success.

The first minute of Keisha’s pitch was spent explaining how she planned to disrupt the applesauce business, a product that, up until now, was focused primarily on children and the elderly (or served with pork chops on an episode of The Brady Bunch).
In the apple sauce business, she desired to accomplish what the yogurt business did for yogurt.
“Sanaia Applesauce” is made from organic green apples baked into six different flavors and can be sold as a “grown-up” version of applesauce. Keisha had been cautious in her spending while learning what she could about her profession.
Sanaia Applesauce comes in a glass jar and plastic cup similar to yogurt. An initial test pilot generated approximately $40,000 in sales, showing to Keisha that her applesauce innovations have a market.
Keisha visits the Shark Tank in search of $150,000 in exchange for 15% of her business. She makes her pitch and shares her narrative before handing out samples.
She explains that she conducted extensive research into the sector and ran a six-month proof-of-concept test. The test generated $40,000 in revenue.
She considers two packaging options: a glass jar or a plastic cup resembling a foil-topped yogurt container.
She intends to sell on Amazon shortly and claims to have had attention from several large companies.

Keisha left her human resources executive role following her appearance on Shark Tank. Rather than concentrating her efforts on Sanaia Applesauce, she accepted another executive position, this time with Tory Burch, a New York fashion designer.
There are no signs at the time of this writing that Mark carried out his due diligence and began collaborating with Keisha on Sanaia Applesauce. While the product is not now available on Amazon, it is accessible at hundreds of Walmart shops nationwide.
Sanaia Applesauce’s website is still operational and accepting orders, as is its social media presence, although only six flavors are now available for purchase.
