Aquapaw Shark Tank Update

Aquapaw is a pet grooming tool featured on the popular TV show Shark Tank. It is a glove that helps to wash and massage your dog at the same time. It has soft rubber bristles that massage the dog’s fur and help remove loose hair. It is also great for scrubbing away any dirt or debris on the dog’s fur. Aquapaw is a great way to keep your dog’s fur clean and healthy.

Aquapaw is a water-based pet grooming tool that helps you wash your dog without getting wet! It was featured on Shark Tank in January 2019. Aquapaw has since been featured in Forbes, Entrepreneur, Time, and The Huffington Post.

Aquapaw is the brainchild of Tom Zipprian and Daniel Lentz. Tom is a former professional dog trainer, and Daniel is a former veterinary technician. They started the company in 2013 after Tom had an “a-ha” moment while giving a bath to one of his dog-training clients. He realized there had to be a better way to wash dogs, and Aquapaw was born!

Aquapaw is a unique product that allows you to wash your dog without getting wet! It is a handheld shower head attachment that attaches to your garden hose. Aquapaw has two settings – a low-pressure setting for sensitive areas like the face and a high-pressure setting for the body. It also has a detachable hose to rinse your dog after the bath.

Aquapaw is the perfect solution for busy pet parents who don’t have time to take their dogs to the groomer. It is also great for seniors or anyone who has mobility issues. Aquapaw is easy to use and will save you time and money!

What is Aquapaw?

Aquapaw is a “hands-free” equipment that facilitates pet bathing. A one-size-fits-all strap that sprays water from the palm allows the user to wet and wash the dog with both hands while wearing it on either hand.

The Aquapaw design reduces water spraying and shortens bath time, greatly benefitting worried pets. You can activate or deactivate the Aquapaw by making a fist. Pet owners can easily bathe their pets with one hand while maintaining control of them with the other with the unique click-on/click-off mechanism.

Aquapaw Pet Bathing Tool features a water sprayer and scrubber in one, allowing for a quicker, gentler bath with less water waste. Aquapaw has rubber nubs on its ergonomically designed handles, making it possible to spray and scrub.

You can adjust it to your hand’s size and shape by securing it. Water comes out of the nubs of the scrubber through a button in its middle. You can toggle between on and off by simply opening and closing your hand. You can use both hands to manage a pet’s coat when soaking, scrubbing, and rinsing it.

Aquapaw’s deep penetration allows water to penetrate deeper into your pet’s fur, allowing for faster and more thorough rinsing. Plus, no more irritating spray. The rubber nubs you use to scrub your pet are massaging him or her.

You and your pet are saving time and effort, which is beneficial to both of you; your pet is not concerned; it’s fantastic for conserving water, and rather than engaging in a power struggle, your pet and you can bond together.

You can use Aquapaw both indoors and outdoors. There is no need to worry about a complicated setup in either case. This flexible hose is 8 feet long and can be connected to a garden hose or shower (including a handheld shower attachment). There are two adapters included in the package. The 13-ounce weight contributes to the adaptability and portability as well.

Who is the Founder of Aquapaw?

Daniel Lentz is the founder of Aquapaw. Tom Zipprian and Daniel Lentz came up with the concept for a portable pet cleaning device in 2016 while Lentz was a student at Virginia Tech. The proposal is based on Lentz’s understanding of the difficulties associated with cleaning pets, which he believes can be resolved through his proposed solution.

A Kickstarter campaign that raised approximately $42,000 helped kickstart their firm the same year. Global Pet Expo judges decided their product was the best after years of research and development. They then went to the shark tank for assistance securing a transaction and an investor to expand their firm.

Aquapaw Before Shark Tank

Daniel Lentz and Tom Zipprian came up with the idea for Aquapaw in 2016 when they were students at Virginia Tech. Lentz knew from his experience as a passionate dog lover that some pet owners have trouble bathing their dogs because they jump out, flee, etc.

He believed that proprietors might benefit from assistance without requiring an additional hand. The Aquapaw can help you make bathing your pet easier and less traumatic for them by making it easier for you.

Aquapaw is a bathing tool that combines a dog brush with a bathing tool to make bathing your pets easier. Aquapaw can be attached to a shower head or an outside hose to allow water to pass through. A stream of water is streamed between the glove’s stubs to massage shampoo and water deep into the animal’s fur.

The owner pushes the power button on the product’s palm to begin petting-like bathing their pet. You can help your pet feel more relaxed during a bath by petting them. The Aquapaw is available on Chewy, Amazon, and the company’s website, alongside their Slow Treater, a gadget designed to keep your pet occupied with goodies while bathing.

Aquapaw took its first step into the real world at the end of 2016 when Lentz and Zipprian successfully raised $42,073 through a Kickstarter campaign. In 2017, they began creating, releasing, and selling their official designs for the product, closely following this accomplishment.

Aquapaw was featured at the prestigious Global Pet Expo in March of 2018. The Aquapaw was awarded “Best in Show” during this competition. Lentz and Zipprian took advantage of their prestigious title to pursue another accomplishment: a Shark Tank contract.

How Was the Shark Tank Pitch of Aquapaw?

Daniel Lentz and Tom Zipprian appeared on Shark Tank requesting an investment of $200,000 in exchange for a 10% stake in Aquapaw. Lentz mentioned the 2016 Kickstarter campaign after introducing the invention to the sharks.

Lentz told the Sharks that Aquapaw had earned almost $42,000 in just over a month, causing the pet business to experience the excitement. Lentz noted that any feedback received was used to expand the business after completing the campaign.

Daniel and Tom promptly disclosed that a single item retails for $24.98. The company relies heavily on Uncommon Goods for sales. The majority of the company’s revenue is generated by its website. The cost of manufacturing one unit is $5.25.

Over the past nine months, Aquapaw’s revenue has been generated by a Kickstarter campaign that surpassed its $40,000 goal. There were more questions about the $3 million valuation than the initial financial data that perplexed the sharks.

Robert Herjavec was eager to make a significantly lower-priced bid. He proposed $200,000 for 30% ownership. Lori Greiner and Mark Cuban decided swiftly to withdraw from negotiations.

Both guest sharks, Bethenny Frankel and Daymond John, offered a similar offer for $200,000 and 30% equity. Aquapaw has received three proposals from the sharks, and now Daniel and Tom have to choose which to accept.

As Daniel and Tom turned around and left the tank after failing to negotiate with Daymond, the other sharks became impatient and left. Aquapaw could not obtain an investment, but let’s observe the company’s progress after Shark Tank.

Final Deal: No deal between Aquapaw and Sharks.

What Happened to Aquapaw After Shark Tank?

Aquapaw is still in business and active on most social media platforms despite rejecting many offers and exiting Shark Tank without a contract. However, they face some competition from pet-related businesses like Furtrieve, Otterly Pets, and PetSpy.

The Aquapaw is currently available on Chewy, Amazon, the Aquapaw company’s website, and other pet supply stores. Furthermore, the company offers a peanut butter-coated Treater Treat Dispenser Mat designed to entertain pets during bath time. There are suction cups on the back of the mat that enable it to adhere to the tub’s bottom or walls.

Aquapaw is still in business, but its founders appear to be moving on to greater and better things. The LinkedIn profile of Daniel Lentz shows he was active approximately one month ago, but he will be stepping down from his role as Aquapaw’s CEO.
